Overall, approximately 300 students from 30 different schools competed in different categories including: debate, bridge building, glider, egg drop, math, mouse trap cars, model science and prosthetic arm construction.
Only the top 3 finishers in each category qualified to move on to compete at the regional competition. Of the 65 Vineyard STEM students who competed, 10 Vineyard STEM Magnet teams qualified for the MESA regional competition which will take place on April 8th at the University of California, Irvine!
In the 7th & 8th grade bridge building competition Vineyard swept the awards taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Vineyard has the 2nd most teams of any school going to regionals. Congratulations to Vineyard STEM Magnet School.
