Board Adopted Resolutions

As part of the Board of Trustees responsibility to set direction for the OMSD, the Board adopts long-term goals focused on the achievement of all district students. The district's goals shall be aligned with the district's vision, mission, philosophy, and priorities. This is often done through our 5 Year Action Plan.

The Board also adopts resolutions to conduct internal business or to express policy or opinions. There are different types of resolutions (congratulatory, policy, opinion, concurrent, memorial, and joint).

With the adoption of our 5 Year Action Plan and as an example of this process, The Board adopted of  a resolution to support equity and inclusion in OMSD. This policy was adopted to express the District’s commitment to providing  a world-class education to our students in safe, respectful, culturally responsive, and welcoming school environments empower students, staff and families to be successful in a dynamic global society, cultivating college, and community partnerships and celebrating diversity.
