Attended Sultana Elementary and De Anza Middle School, and is currently the Executive Assistant for Child Welfare, Attendance and Records Department/Human Resources at OMSD. Josie is inspired by her family and strives to be a better person each day. Recently, Josie received Congressional recognition for her work with At-Risk youth as well as having received an award by the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools for her professionalism and dedication in serving the students and communities of OMSD. Both of Josie’s daughters are OMSD alumni and her husband is part of the Edison Elementary School family. For her dedication to OMSD, Josie Mejia is a “model of excellence” for OMSD’s students, schools, and community.
