Wellness, Arts & Technology Center
Vernon Middle School

The District celebrated the opening of the newly constructed Wellness, Arts & Technology Center at Vernon Middle School with an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony attended by approximately 200 staff and community leaders.  Guests were treated to student led tours of the building and a wonderful student performance by the Vernon Dance Team.

Standing at just over 18,000 square feet, this new facility will support 21st Century learning through a focus on student wellness, arts and technology supported through a performing arts stage, multi-media lab, vocational learning “maker space,” and comprehensive gymnasium.

Community engagement will be a focus through after-hours programs and events.  At full seating capacity, the facility will accommodate over 1,300 people.  Energy efficient equipment and sustainable building materials were used in support of the District’s continual efforts to support the environment.

Congratulations to the Vernon Middle School community on your new center.  It will be utilized to enhance learning for years to come.
