The Wellness, Arts & Technology Center

De Anza Middle School

On October 2, 2019, the District celebrated the opening of the newly constructed Wellness, Arts & Technology Center at De Anza Middle School with an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony attended by approximately 250 staff and community leaders. Guests were able to tour the new Center and visit with De Anza Cougars as they hosted school program informational tables.

This new facility stands just over 17,600 square feet and will support 21st Century learning through a focus on student wellness, arts and technology supported through a performing arts stage, multi-media lab, vocational learning “maker space,” and comprehensive gymnasium.

Community engagement will be a focus through after-hours programs and events. At full seating capacity, the facility will accommodate over 1,300 people. Energy efficient equipment and sustainable building materials were used in support of the District’s continual efforts to support the environment.

Congratulations to the De Anza Middle School community on your new center. It will be utilized to enhance learning for years to come.
