My name is Eddie Franco, and I am proud to be the principal of Bon View Elementary.  I began working at Bon View in 2002 as a teacher on assignment.  Along with my colleagues, I was part of the process that brought the International Baccalaureate PYP program to our school in 2012.       

Bon View is an authorized IB World School.  IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that we believe is important for our students.  Our learning is designed for students to learn through six transdisciplinary units that are aligned to Common Core State Standards.  This learning approach is inquiry based and allows students to make global connections.  Bon View students are always working towards internalizing and exhibiting all the attributes of the IB Learner Profile:  Knowledgeable, Courageous, Inquirer, Balanced, Principled, Reflective, Caring, Communicator, Thinker, and Open-minded.  As part of the program, students are provided with enriching opportunities that include IB Spanish, IB Music, IB Physical Education, and IB Library/Computers. 

We also have a robust after-school extended learning program.  I encourage all students to take advantage of the various clubs and extracurricular activities available at our school.  These activities offer valuable opportunities for personal and social development and allow you to showcase your talents and passion outside the classroom.  

Bon View Elementary School is committed to growing global-minded scholars.  Together with our families and our community, the staff and students of Bon View work toward clearly focused educational, personal, and social goals.  Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved with our school.  I am confident that working together will provide a positive and productive learning experience for all students.
