We at Mariposa Elementary truly believe in our mission statement and strive to help our students achieve their potential. Through our Leader in Me implementation we have better defined our school's mission and live it more fully. By creating a focus on Leadership our school culture has improved and our students are not only learning the academic lessons they need but also acquiring the social-emotional skills they need to succeed in their future.

Homeless or In Transition Students (McKinney Vento Homeless Education Act)
All students considered homeless or in transition, includes students who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence, are afforded certain rights under the law:
Immediate enrollment, even if family lacks records normally required for enrollment
Placement in student’s school of origin, unless is against family’s wishes
Transportation to and from student’s school of origin
Free school meals
