Ms. Johnson

I am truly honored to become a member of Mariposa's great school community. As your new principal, I look forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible educational program for our students. Mariposa is a special place to me. It's where I first began my career with Ontario-Montclair School District. Returning to Mariposa, nine years later, feels like I am coming home. I have great pride for our school; its students and the surrounding community.

Over my 20-year career in education, I have served as a teacher, elementary and high school instructional coach, school site and district level administrator. I'm originally from California, but received my Bachelor of Science degree with a Reading Specialization from Texas Woman's University. I received a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Chapman University and I am currently completing my Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne. However, my greatest accomplishment is raising my 18-year-old daughter, who is going off to college this year.

In addition to being a parent, my most important job is to be an advocate for your children. I am committed to providing a happy and safe learning environment where students learn and become their very best. My goals is to provide a quality education within a safe and respectful environment. I will ensure that our students receive every opportunity to develop academic, social-emotional and technical skills necessary to reach their highest potential. I will spend my time getting to know your children, their personalities, learning styles and interests. I will celebrate their successes, encourage them daily and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community.

I look forward to working with parents, teachers, classified and support staff to make this a successful school year. I am confident we will continue to make Mariposa an excellent school for our students!

Sincerely,

Camille Johnson

Principal
