About Bon View Elementary

  • Bon View International Baccalaureate (IB) World School serves students in Preschool through Sixth grade. With an emphasis on creating global learners, Bon View provides a rigorous, transdisciplinary instructional program that focuses on inquiry-based learning. Through IB, our school affords students a variety of enrichment opportunities, including IB Spanish, IB Physical Education, IB Music, IB Library, and IB Computers which creates a supportive collaborative environment that encourages students to embrace diverse perspectives during their learning.  This learning environment provides students with real world educational experiences that prepares them to thrive in a readily changing world.

Bon View fosters a safe and inclusive environment and cultivates a sense of community.  We welcome parent and community involvement, and there are many planned activities throughout the school year for participation.  Our staff works collaboratively with our learning community to reflect and gain input on programs and student success.  There are robust after-school extended learning opportunities for students including: after-school sports, intervention, Lego Club, Art Club, Game Club, GATE, and many more.

With the support of our parents, students, and staff, our school has been awarded California PBIS Gold in 2022 and PBIS Platinum in 2023.

    IB Mission Statement:

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring,

knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a

better and more peaceful world through intercultural

    understanding and respect.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and

international organizations to develop challenging programmes of

    international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become

active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that

other people, with their differences, can also be right.
