Ms. Perry
Welcome back to the new school year! It is an honor and privilege to start this school year as the new principal of Lincoln Elementary School! As Lincoln’s principal, I am committed in working collaboratively with families, community members, teachers and staff to ensure that our Lincoln students receive the skills needed to be college and career ready.
At Lincoln Elementary School, we serve a diverse population of approximately 620 students from preschool through sixth grade. Additionally, Lincoln is an integrated school which serves both moderate to severe students and general education students. Thanks to the efforts of the staff, parents and students, we have become one community with caring and supportive members who strive for the best possible environment for all students to succeed and flourish.
Additionally, Lincoln Elementary School will continue to participate in the school-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS focuses on creating and sustaining school-wide, classroom, and individual systems of support that improve the educational environment for all children. Our aim is to explicitly teach behavior expectations and then recognize the positive behaviors shown by students.
The Lincoln Elementary Leopards believe in living everyday with the core values and positive actions demonstrated in R.O.A.R. ROAR stands for: Responsibility, Organization, Accountability, and Respect. These values and behaviors are demonstrated and reinforced throughout the school year. Students are encouraged to display these values on a day to day basis.
By implementing PBIS, we hope to reduce school and classroom behavior disruptions and educate all students about acceptable school behaviors by improving the school environment, we hope to increase learning time and promote academic and social success for every student.
We hope you will join us as your child travels through their educational journey. Lincoln Elementary School is a great place to learn and grow!
