About Vernon Middle School


    The Arts Conservatory at Vernon Middle School: Students participate in an enriched academic program and choose between two electives in the areas of instrumental and vocal music, visual arts, dance, media class or drama. Hands-on experiences and performances integrate Visual and Performing Arts into a strong basic skills program. Enrollment in the Arts Conservatory requires attendance in a zero-period class. Students interested in advanced classes audition prior to enrollment in that class.

    participan en un programa académico enriquecido y eligen entre
    dos asignaturas optativas en las áreas de música instrumental
    y vocal, artes visuales, danza, clase de medios o drama. Las
    experiencias prácticas y los desempeños integran las artes
    visuales y escénicas en un fuerte programa de habilidades básicas.
    La inscripción en el Conservatorio de Artes requiere la asistencia

    All auditions take place at Vernon in the WAT center.  Auditions are open to incoming or transferring 7th and 8th grade students at Vernon Middle School for the 2021-2022 school year.  Please be on time and prepared.

    Student Uniform Requirement - waived for the 2020-2021 school year

    Navy or Black bottoms

    Collared white or blue shirt or school shirt

    Volunteer Process: Parents are encouraged to come and volunteer in our classrooms and around campus. A volunteer application needs to be completed in the front office and we will work with the volunteer to establish a schedule. Any parent wishing to visit their child's classroom needs to give at least a 24 hour advanced notice and needs to have a volunteer application on file.
