Welcome to the PAWS Center! 

The PAWS Center (Positive Academic & Well-being Support) is an integral part of Wiltsey Middle School. The PAWS Center is the place for all your School Counseling needs! 

Wiltsey’s School Counseling program is designed to assist students during the seventh through eighth grade transitional period. A School Counselor plays an integral part in the education of all students by focusing on academic, personal/social and career developmental tasks so they achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society. 

School Counselors work with students individually, in small groups and in the classroom.  Counselors are available to assist with:

• Academic Advising
• Social/Emotional Counseling
• Scheduling
• Registration
• Groups (Divorce, Grief/Loss, Social, Anger, Acculturation)
• Testing
• Behavior Interventions
• Career Planning
• College Awareness
• Community Resources/Referrals for parents and students
• Attendance Counseling
• Parent Informational Workshops
• Conflict Resolution/Mediation
• SST's, IEP's, 504's
