About De Anza Middle School

  • De Anza Middle School was built in 1955 and has served the community of Ontario proudly since that time.  We strive to be a source of pride for the community.  We want parents to know that their children are safe at our school and receiving a high quality education.  Our distinctive instructional program is High Quality Project-Based Learning, an approach that helps our students achieve Common Core standards through active, engaging learning experiences with real-life application.

De Anza Middle School, an Integrated Project-Based Learning Magnet, delivers a well-rounded and rigorous academic program that prepares students to be critical and creative thinkers, collaborative problem-solvers, and effective communicators. Students participate in several interdisciplinary projects each year, engaging them in real-world problems to encourage inquiry. Our outstanding Crew program allows students to practice collaboration and community-building. De Anza is a State and National School to Watch, Gold Ribbon School, and Title I Achieving School.  We have a strong AVID program that serves as a foundation for our schoolwide focus on college and career readiness.
