The Ontario-Montclair School District offers part-day state preschool classes at 13 school sites for 3- and 4-year-olds whose families meet state eligibility requirements. State preschool registration information and other resources are accessible through our links.
Registration forms for the 2024-2025 school year are now available in the Preschool/Child Development Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. (Registration forms may also be accessed online.) No appointment is necessary for registration packet pick-up.
For confidentiality purposes, appointments are scheduled to meet with parents individually to review completed registration forms and required documentation.

- Staff reviews completed forms and required documents with parent. Due to strict state guidelines, only complete registration packets will be accepted. For any missing items, parent may return with required document without an appointment on the walk-in day (Thursdays 8:00 am - 11:00 am or 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm).
- Registration packet is further processed by staff according to Department of Education and Community Care Licensing regulations.
- Parents receive an email with instructions to complete questionnaires about their child’s development.
- Upon the completion of the questionnaires, and after eligibility has been verified according to state guidelines, parents receive a phone call to schedule a follow-up appointment to finalize enrollment.
- Parent signs all certification forms for enrollment.
- Parent receives school, teacher and class time information.
- Teacher receives parent contact information and connects with parent before student begins.
