2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), a landmark law that has transformed opportunities for students with disabilities across the nation. We are proud to continue this legacy in OMSD by ensuring that every student with exceptional needs has access to high-quality instruction, specialized services, and meaningful inclusion in the least restrictive environment.

Our team works closely with site leaders, teachers, and service providers to maximize access to educational programs and activities, while offering a full continuum of services and placement options tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs.

We deeply value parent education and family engagement as essential partners in student success. Through workshops, resources, and an open-door approach, we strive to bridge the gap between home and school, empowering families to play an active role in the IEP process.

In addition, our ongoing community partnerships strengthen the supports and opportunities available to students, reflecting our commitment to collaboration and shared responsibility for student growth.
