A proud alumnus of Lehigh Elementary School and Serrano Middle School. Mr. Espinosa has been employed by OMSD for the last 28 years at Mission Elementary and Buena Vista Arts-Integrated Magnet School. Mr. Espinosa currently serves as the lead custodian at Buena Vista. Mr. Espinosa is inspired by his mother and father. His mother was a homemaker and returned to school to become a school teacher. His father was a machinist for 45 years. Mr. Espinosa continues to “pay it forward” by serving the OMSD community at Buena Vista where he helps to build successful students so they can create a better tomorrow. Mr. Espinosa gives back to the larger Ontario community in many ways. For the past 7 years, Mr. Espinosa has been involved in the Boy Scouts at Monte Vista and the Ontario Western Little League, as well as the Montclair Little League. Mr. Espinosa also dedicated countless volunteer hours working on the OMSD’s Bond Measure K. When asked what advice he would offer to educators, he replied to find a way to enjoy and love your job so students will want to learn. Mr. Espinosa believes that educators touch tomorrow through education. To students, Mr. Espinosa said to keep an open mind and learn different things. Don’t be afraid of failure or being different. To Mr. Espinosa, excellence is striving to achieve higher standards in all tasks performed and maintaining a positive attitude. For these reasons, the Ontario-Montclair School District proudly recognizes Mr. Jaime Marcos Espinosa as a 2017 Model of Excellence. His commitment to excellence is evident through his relentless service, dedication, and belief in OMSD students, educators, parents, and community.
