Attended Euclid Elementary and De Anza Middle School and is currently a teacher at Edison Elementary. He remembers spending hours upon hours reading books in the library at De Anza Middle School and attributes much of his personal success to his amazing teachers in middle and high school. They opened doors of opportunity and believed in his potential as a student. Michael now pays it forward by serving as a teacher and cultivating the next generation of leaders. For his dedication to OMSD, Michael Bui is a “model of excellence” for OMSD’s students, schools, and community.

Recently, Mr. Bui was awarded theCalifornia Association for Gifted (CAG) Distinguished Service Award.  CAG honors one member of the GATE community for going “above and beyond” in their contributions to the interests of gifted and talented children.   Congratulations, Mr. Bui! This is a well deserved recognition.
