Mrs. Nancy I. DeDiemar

  • Nancy Dediemar Jones A proud alumna of El Camino Elementary School and Vina Danks Middle School. Nancy has lived in the OMSD community for the last 30 years and currently volunteers with several organizations, including the Chaffey Community Museum of Art. Most recently, Mrs. DeDiemar was a speaker at Ray Wiltsey Middle School for the District’s Promise Scholar’s program. She is inspired by people who serve their communities, especially those people who are generous, good-hearted, happy, hardworking, and a joy to be around. Through her volunteer work at the museum, OMSD students are provided enrichment programs with an emphasis on the visual arts. Nancy continues to “pay it forward” in OMSD by volunteering with local organizations such as the museum, OPARC, and the Chaffey High School Alumni Association, because these organizations share a commitment to enriching the OMSD community. She encourages educators to teach students the value of being open-minded and would advise students that there are more than one path to a rich and fulfilling life, but that all paths should include an element of community service. To Nancy, excellence means knowing who you are, who you are not, and how these two things are best put to use in life. For these reasons, the Ontario-Montclair School District recognizes and celebrates Mrs. Nancy I. DeDiemar as a 2015-2016 Model of Excellence. Her commitment to excellence is certain to motivate and inspire current and future generations of OMSD students, educators, parents, and community members.
