OMSD Online Academy offers flexible, high-quality asynchronous learning led by credentialed teachers, designed to meet the needs of today’s students and families. Through rigorous virtual instruction and personalized support, students build independence and academic confidence while preparing for college and career success. Open to students from neighboring counties, the program expands access, increases choice, and creates pathways for every learner to thrive.

The NEU Network of Schools is a network of elementary, middle and high schools across the United States that actively promote a comprehensive model of college readiness to all students with a well-defined process by implementing the “Six Exceptional Systems”.

Our Magnet and specialized schools offer innovative, theme-based programs that provide students with enriched learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom. With focuses in the arts, STEM, technology, leadership, communication arts, music, and differentiated learning for gifted students, these programs integrate hands-on instruction, creativity, and real-world application into core academics. Designed to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and student empowerment, our Magnet schools create dynamic environments where students can explore their talents, deepen their interests, and thrive academically.

The OMSD Athletics & Activities Department provides students with opportunities to grow academically, athletically, and socially while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance. Through after-school programs and competitive club sports. Including volleyball, soccer, baseball, and basketball, where students build skills, school pride, and strong connections within their schools and community.

The annual OMSD District Spelling Bee brings together top student spellers from across the district to compete for the district title. Participants strengthen their vocabulary and spelling skills while advancing through county and state-level competitions.

OMSD extends learning beyond the school day through free after-school programs available at every campus. Students receive homework support, enrichment activities, recreation, and a nutritious supper in a safe and engaging environment. Each school also offers a variety of clubs, ranging from STEM and robotics to arts, athletics, and leadership which is designed to match students’ diverse interests and talents.

The Annual 5K Reindeer Run, held in partnership with the City of Ontario, is a festive community tradition that supports the Promise Scholars program. This family-friendly event brings together students, families, and community members to raise funds for scholarships, academic resources, and college and career readiness opportunities for OMSD students.

The Annual OMSD STEAM Symposium brings together students from across the district to showcase their talents in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Through hands-on competitions and creative challenges, students apply their learning, think critically, and collaborate while exploring real-world problem solving.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college readiness program designed to close the achievement gap and prepare students for success in college and a global society. Through research-based instructional strategies and schoolwide support systems, AVID strengthens academic performance and promotes long-term student achievement.

The Ontario-Montclair School District High School Credit Program provides eligible 8th grade students the opportunity to earn high school credits while still in middle school through a partnership with Chaffey Joint Union High School District. Courses align with high school standards and CSU/UC A–G requirements, helping students accelerate their academic pathway and prepare for a successful transition to high school.

The OMSD Middle School Congress is a student leadership initiative that brings middle school voices into the district’s decision-making process. Student representatives collaborate on district priorities, provide input on programs and services, and help ensure the perspectives of their peers are heard and valued.

The Ontario-Montclair School District Pathway Seal of Biliteracy recognizes kindergarten and 8th grade students who demonstrate progress toward mastering two or more languages. This distinction celebrates bilingualism, cultural competence, and academic dedication, while preparing students for the State Seal of Biliteracy in high school.

Coordinated by the Ontario-Montclair Schools Foundation, Promise Scholars is a comprehensive college and career readiness program supporting OMSD students from kindergarten through high school and beyond. Through mentoring, workshops, college and career exploration, and scholarship opportunities, the program empowers students and especially first-generation college-bound students to confidently pursue their postsecondary goals.
