• Alfonso Sanchez Alfonso Sanchez, elected to the OMSD Board of Trustees bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the policy-making process for the state of California. As a 25-year public servant serving as a Legislative Aid and Chief of Staff to various assembly members, state senators, and members of Congress, Alfonso has helped shape education policy at the state level to bring positive change to our local schools and communities. Most recently, Alfonso Sanchez served as Chief of Staff for Ontario and Montclair’s state senator and member of Congress. Alfonso has worked on legislation to increase local control for schools. He has fought for fairness in education for our foster youth and has worked to expand student health initiatives and school public safety funding. Alfonso Sanchez resides in the City of Montclair. His family first settled in San Bernardino County in the 1920’s where his grandfather built their first family home in the neighboring city of San Bernardino.
